NETHERBIRD - Worldwide Deal with Eisenwald
 Swedish melodic black/death metal act NETHERBIRD has signed a worldwide deal with Eisenwald and will issue a new album "Into the Vast Uncharted" this fall.
The Stockholm-based band, which features longtime ex-Amon Amarth drummer Fredrik Andersson, is currently in the mixing phase for its upcoming album. More information will be announced in the coming months.
NETHERBIRD has blurred the boundaries between black, death and other extreme strains of heavy metal since 2004. The band was founded by like-minded individuals among the Swedish metal scene with the intentions of creating harsh metal while drawing inspiration from black and death metal without any regards, or limitations, to the structures surrounding each respective sub-genre.
While originally conceived as a studio project, NETHERBIRD featured a wide array of renowned guests and guild members to add their personal touch to the musical canvas: Adrian Erlandsson (At The Gates, The Haunted, ex-Cradle of Filth, ex-Paradise Lost), Janne Saarenpää (The Crown), Daniel “Mojjo” Moilanen (The Project Hate, Katatonia) among others. Even the further history of NETHERBIRD as a band credits a long list of versatile musicians, such as Nils Fjellström (Nordjevel, ex-Dark Funeral), Tobias Gustafsson (ex-Eucharist), Erik Röjås (Sterbhaus, ex-Decadence), Love Stark (Mephorash, Withershin), to join the unit at different stages and refine its sound with their unique skills.
Over the years, NETHERBIRD has released four full-length albums and made a number of tours across Europe, including several festival appearances. Their latest album is 2016's critically-acclaimed "The Grander Voyage", which catapulted the band into the higher echelon of extreme underground metal. Now, it is time for the next step with the release of "Into the Vast Uncharted" via Eisenwald.
"We are very pleased to announce that we have signed to Eisenwald and that our next album, Into the Vast Uncharted, will be the first release we do with them," says the band’s founder and vocalist Nephente. "We see this collaboration as a natural step for us, and we feel that Eisenwald share our vision and musical direction. Onwards!"

OGRE - Portland Doomsters join Cruz Del Sur Music - New Album Announcement
 Long-running Portland, Maine doom trio OGRE has signed with Cruz Del Sur Music for the October release of their forthcoming fifth studio album, “Thrice As Strong”. The album was tracked with Rowan Bishop at Garage Mahal Recording in Westbrook, Maine.
Practitioners of traditional doom with a mix of ’70s rock and proto metal, OGRE was formed in 1999 by Ed Cunningham (bass/vocals), Ross Markonish (guitar) and Will Broadbent (drums). To date, the band has released four studio albums, with 2014’s “The Last Neanderthal” their most recent. OGRE came to the attention of Cruz Del Sur through classic word of mouth — a handful of Cruz Del Sur bands put in the good word for OGRE to label owner Enrico Leccese.
According to Markonish, the “Thrice As Strong” album title plays off OGRE’s power-trio formation and is taken from their namesake song, “Ogre”, which is the first track on their first album, “Dawn Of The Proto-Man”, which is also where “The Last Neanderthal” title came from. “As our fans know, we really like all of these self-referential details, as it sort of builds up the concept of an ‘OGRE Universe’. Not surprisingly, we are all fans of comic books, sci-fi and horror novels/movies, and bands like RUSH, who specialize in those sorts of geeky things.”
OGRE is recording with Bishop because of his “good set of ears” and the stripped-down feel of Garage Mahal Studios. Markonish says the new songs are not a departure from the band’s vintage sound, but fans can expect a few different influences this time around.

AGENT STEEL - New Album "No Mercy From The Godz" via Dissonance Productions
The unstoppable force returns! It’s been a long time anticipated, and now it’s official: 1980’s speed metal veteran, founder/vocalist John Cyriis, has resurrected his brand creation, the “Agent Steel band and it’s new incarnation in 2019 ... is finally upon us!”
The band’s current line-up consists of guitarist Nikolay Atanasov, and original AS guitarist Bill Simmons; Mr.Simmons is the first/original guitarist of the AS lineup, as the band first appeared throughout the L.A. club circuit in 1983. Also included in this classic/new lineup are bassist Joe McGuigan (Gama Bomb) and drummer Dennis Kruse Strømberg. This incarnation of AS is the long-awaited reactivation featuring Agent Steel founder, brand creator, vocalist John Cyriis, who appeared on all three original classic albums, (i.e., Skeptics Apocalypse, Mad Locust Rising, and the platinum seller Unstoppable Force). John is very pleased with this new lineup, which he is confident will arise as the very best lineup in the band’s history and whom he believes are certain to compliment the band’s legacy, and about manifest an about-face—that to counter and transcend the band’s “less than competent performance” by a stand-in and unofficial lineup at the KIT festival 2019!!
The official new Agent Steel lineup are currently working on the band’s 4th true and official studio album titled, “No Mercy From The Godz”—which is scheduled for an imminent October 18, 2019 launch.
The band are also preparing for their forthcoming shows at various privileged confirmed dates—beginning on Friday 6 December and Saturday 7 December in Milan and Firenze, Italy. THE NEPTUNE POWER FEDERATION - New Album Announcement - 'Memoirs Of A Rat Queen'
 Australian psychedelic rock and roll occultists THE NEPTUNE POWER FEDERATION have completed the recording sessions for their forthcoming fourth full-length, “Memoirs Of A Rat Queen”. The album, tracked by bassist Jaytanic Ritual and The Pet Food Factory in Marrkville, Sydney, will be the band’s first for Cruz Del Sur Music and will see the light of day this September.
“It took a while longer than we originally anticipated, which is what we should have expected,” says guitarist Inverted CruciFox. “We try to include a lot of small details that reward headphone-wearing listeners who use our records to travel to alternate dimensions. There has to be enough fuel to accommodate their journey.”
Accordingly, the band’s blend of progressive, metal and space rock will be on full display on their new album, sure to please followers of the band. “It feels a bit different, yet a natural progression, which was the aim,” says CruciFox. “I feel like we have paid our sonic respects to QUEEN, MOTÖRHEAD, T-REX and many others.”
Since The Pet Food Factory is run by Ritual, there is a certain sense of familiarity with the studio’s confines. CruciFox says that other underground acts in Sydney often benefit from “residual magicks leftover by [vocalist] The Imperial Priestesses’ occasional presence there.” Therefore, it is little surprise the rest of THE NEPTUNE POWER FEDERATION takes cues from their imitable frontwoman.
“There are few specific recollections of the process,” notes CruciFox. “We simply present at the studio and swiftly fall under the thrall of the Imperial Priestess who conducts the music through us via mind control. There is a feeling of disorientation and euphoria followed by shock that 12 months has passed and the album is complete.”
With “Memoirs Of A Rat Queen” now in the bag, all CruciFox and his THE NEPTUNE POWER FEDERATION bandmates can do is bide their time until it’s unleashed upon the unwitting metal masses. “We are awaiting the response of the ancient ones — a centuries-old council of mystic faeries who determine which of the new songs shall be added to the set. It’s an unconventional approach, but we stand by our methods.”

Mastermind Andrew Lee states: "In ancient China, the capital punishment for treason in which any family related to the offender, grandparents, grandchildren, inlaws, aunts and uncles, were all executed along with him. 'Nine Familial Exterminations' attempts to musically reproduce this cruel tyranny through ripping deathrash and grindcore."
The EP was produced at Subterranean Watchtower by Damian Herring (Horrendous, Blood Incantation, Sentient Horror, etc) and is garnished by a grotesquely spellbinding artwork from Velio Josto. The drums were performed by Kevin Paradis, known from his work with bands such as Benighted, Svart Crown, Melechesh or Shining, to name a few.
