RESURRECTED – New Album "Perpetual" coming in April 2026 via Testimony Records – Video Single Premiere
 Testimony Records proudly announces the new and eighth overall full-length album of German brutal death veterans RESURRECTED, entitled "Perpetual", set for release on April 10th 2026.

Drummer Dennis Thiele states: "The first single track, 'Sanity Is Lost', delivers a crushing mid-tempo assault rooted deep in the old school death metal tradition. It is driven by filthy grooves, dense riffing, and relentless heaviness. We are channelling the raw brutality of classic Cannibal Corpse–era death metal. At this song's midpoint, the pace accelerates into a violent outburst that pushes intensity to breaking point. It is a merciless reminder that once the momentum hits, sanity is truly lost."
The video is inspired by Germany's most catastrophic mining disaster: On February 20, 1946, shortly after noon, a methane explosion ignited an even bigger coal dust detonation in the mine Zeche Monopol Schacht Grimberg 3/4. 405 miners, personnel, and three British officers of the North German Coal Control perished in the massive detonation underground. While the reason for initial explosion remains unknown, lax post-war security standards are widely blamed. The so-called Myth of Grimberg remains as a deep scar in the collective memory of the Ruhr Area.
On "Perpetual", RESURRECTED keep a steady course, which remains firmly on an old school death metal trajectory. This is completely befitting for a band that ranks among the earliest pioneers of the brutal style in their country. What makes the difference are the many years of experience, both in songwriting and on stage, which are reflected in the technical proficiency as well as the powerful and absolutely crushing tracks that are a tribute to their craft on this album.
When guitarist Thomas Granzow went all in with death metal by co-founding RESURRECTED in 1993, the band's musical direction was clearly advertised with the first demo "Darkside of Reality" (1994) that already combined unbridled aggression and technical precision as trademarks of the style and gained them traction in the underground scene even beyond the local radius. RESURRECTED's 1998 debut full-length "Raping Whores" gained them international recognition for the sheer brutality of riffs, pounding blast beats, and resonant growls.
With widely acclaimed albums such as "Butchered in Excrement" (2001) and "Endless Sea of Loss" (2006), RESURRECTED solidified their status as death metal staple in Europe and built a loyal following. Although the Germans have been compared to the genre's greats such as CANNIBAL CORPSE, SUFFOCATION, and MORBID ANGEL, they have always had an unmistakable sound of their own. This was marked by their audible openness to subtly incorporate elements from other directions of extreme music.
Energetic and relentless live performances have opened the doors for RESURRECTED to tour across Europe and to enter stages of many renowned international festivals that include among many others the Party.San Open Air and Deathfeast Open Air (DE), Milwaukee Metal Fest (US), Obscene Extreme (CZ), and Inferno Festival (NO).
RESURRECTED spent a large part of 2025 channelling their decades of experience, talent, and unwavering passion for death metal into "Perpetual": RESURRECTED did not grow old, they got even better!

TRIUMPHER was founded in 2020 by Mars Triumph. The band forges a powerful blend of epic heavy metal infused with black and extreme metal elements, delivering a sound that is both militant and grand, rooted in tradition yet unique in execution, creating a distinct sonic mark of their own.
In 2023, TRIUMPHER released their debut album "Storming The Walls", which made a strong impact on the international underground metal scene with its distinctive and disciplined approach to epic metal. Following the album’s success, the band signed with No Remorse Records (which also re-released the debut album on CD and vinyl formats), marking an important step in their development and international reach. Their sophomore album, "Spirit Invictus" (2024), further solidified TRIUMPHER’s position as one of the most notable modern acts of the epic metal movement, earning wide recognition and expanding their global fanbase with their unbound, furious and dramatic epic heavy metal.

 FILI BIBIANO’S FORTRESS have revealed another song from their upcoming sophomore full-length "Death Is Your Master", set for release on January 30th 2026 through High Roller Records.

FORTRESS are a traditional heavy metal band, formed in Whittier, California in 2016. After an initial EP, they issued their debut album "Don’t Spare The Wicked" on High Roller Records in 2021. To differentiate between all those bands bearing the same name, it was decided to use the moniker FILI BIBIANO’S FORTRESS from now on, relating to the band’s founding member (who is also playing with Intranced).
"Death Is Your Master" is the second FORTRESS album. Apart from Fili Bibiano, who is handling guitar, bass and synth on the record, there is Joey Mancaruso on drums and Juan Aguila on lead vocals. The album was recorded mostly at Fili Bibiano’s own Black Light Studio in Gardena, California, and at Brothers Marc Studio in Gardena. It was produced by Fili Bibiano.
Just like on the debut album, the guitar playing on "Death Is Your Master" is once again outstanding, Fili Bibiano’s neo-classical guitar runs are one of the biggest trademarks of the FORTRESS sound.

OBSCURITY – New Album "Ascheregen" out soon on Trollzorn Records – New Lyric Video

Since the release of their previous album "Skogarmaors" there have been significant line-up changes within the band, so it is not surprising that "Ascheregen" features both – new musical elements and established tried-and-true strengths. With this new powerhouse, the four members around band founder Agalaz is following a single course: forward like hell-fire!
On "Ascheregen" listeners can expect the powerful mix of melodic Death-/Viking Metal in the band’s usual style, but this time with a sharper Black Metal edge. That added bite lets OBSCURITY push to further enhance both melody and intensity. Consequently, "Ascheregen" musically moves closer to the direction of their albums "Tenkterra" and "Vintar".
In terms of songwriting, the Bergisch ensemble has also taken it up a notch, delivering more mature, fully fleshed-out song structures overall. For the track "Rúnar Víg", the quintet fulfilled a long-cherished wish by bringing in a guest from Sweden. Erik Grawsiö of Månegarm, a longtime friend of OBSCURITY, lends the song even greater epic breadth with his unmistakable voice, making it a standout moment on the album. Notably, Erik’s guest vocals are performed completely in German.
Lyrically "Ascheregen" unfolds as a conceptual, dark journey through past and present. Across twelve chapters from the ominous opening "Initium Dekadentiae" to the final echoes of "Dystopie und Schwanengesang", old Norse mythology, the violent shadows of Christianization and the fractures of our modern world are intertwined. At its heart "Ascheregen" is both lament and defiance - a critical reflection on the decay of society and a call to resist paternalistic and subjugating conformity.

 German thrashers BITTERNESS have unleashed a first song from their upcoming new album "Hallowed Be The Game", set for release on February 6th 2026 via G.U.C. / Metal-Store24.

Formed in 2001, BITTERNESS always have stated their reputation as a damn heavy live act, playing more than 300 shows at home and abroad. The band's typical sound contains classic Thrash attacks and combines them with some gloomy Death Metal parts, as well as elements of Gothenburg-style Melodic Death.
"Hallowed Be The Game" was recorded, mixed and mastered by Christoph Brandes at Iguana Studios / Freiburg (Germany). The cover artwork was created by Andrei Bouzikov (Municipal Waste, Havok, Exarsis, Dust Bolt, a.o.). For the first time in the band's history there are also guest musicians featured: Andreas "Gerre" Geremia (Tankard) contributed vocals for "High Sobriety" and Michael Goldschmidt played the guitar solos on "High Sobriety" and "Win-Windustry".

ZEPTER – Debut Full-Length Album coming in February 2026 through High Roller Records – Lyric Video revealed
 High Roller Records proudly announces ZEPTER’s self-titled debut album, scheduled for February 20th 2026 on all formats.
ZEPTER are a new traditional heavy metal band from Austria. The project started in January 2024, heavily inspired by the NWOBHM. A few months later, an EP called "Inferno" was issued on cassette in a limited edition of 100 copies through Ironbound (a vinyl version on Fucking Kill Records and a CD edition via Witches Brew followed shortly after).
Guitarist/vocalist Lukas describes the album as "authentic heavy metal of the old school, with lots of catchy hooks and tasty twin-guitar harmony parts. It should come across like a mixture of Thin Lizzy and UFO of the Schenker era, combined with elements of early speed metal by the likes of Acid and Slayer, as if they had been already around in 1978."

HATING LIFE – Debut Mini Album "Revenge From Beyond" in February 2026 via Pulverised Records – Track Premiere
 Pulverised Records proudly announces the debut mini album of Spanish death metal duo HATING LIFE, entitled "Revenge From Beyond", scheduled for February 27th 2026 on CD, LP and digitally.
The project was started by Santiago Cavero, guitar player and founding member of ATARAXY, one of Spain's most respected and relentless old-school death metal outfits since 2008.
He states: “The whole process was very spontaneous, the result of me jamming with a Gibson Les Paul and a HM-2 pedal and ending up soon with great riffs, melodies and plenty of ideas. With ATARAXY having now a very specific personality, it felt great to rediscover primitive death metal roots. You can call it a tribute or a declaration of intent. The first GRAVE material was and remains a clear exponent, among many others, of the kind of death metal that truly motivated me to compose the tracks for this.”
While he handles here all the instruments, Santi asked his ATARAXY comrade Javi to take care of both the lyrical content and vocals.

LEAD INJECTOR – Debut Album "Witching Attack" scheduled for February 2026 via High Roller Records – Track Premiere
 High Roller Records proudly announces the debut album of Dresden-based black/thrash newcomers LEAD INJECTOR, "Witching Attack", set for release on February 20th 2026.
LEAD INJECTOR present an uncompromising homage to classic extreme metal, recorded over seven intensive days in August 2025 at Stereoid Studios in Schönfels, Saxony.
Founded in 2022, the trio is the first serious band for all three members after experiences in solo projects and school ensembles, and they quickly found their place in the local scene with their 2024 demo "From the Crypts... of Hell". "Witching Attack" now combines re-recorded demo tracks with fresh material written in the meantime. From the beginning, LEAD INJECTOR have demonstrated a knack for catchy song structures that sets them apart from average acts in this style. This approach creates variety and memorability – qualities not taken for granted in the genre.
With "Witching Attack", LEAD INJECTOR make a statement: extreme metal with recognition value, authentically produced and carried by the energy of a hungry young band that will significantly help shape the scene in the future.
