After three albums, the pieces of the puzzle fit, and HAVUKRUUNU, the favorite band of the sensitive and sorrowful returns with a vengeance to blur the line between the real and unreal. The sorrowful guitars of Stefa and Bootleg-Henkka draw threatening dark shadows on the wall, Kostajainen's drumming bombardement pulses like embers of a dying fire in the hearth. All the while, Humö's bass guitar is clanking and wailing like the icy wind rattling windows and banging walls, as Stefa roars and channels messages from the netherworld or preaches wisdom of ancient days, backed by a choir.
Lords of Hell smile approving as the flames of hatred and cunning of their beloved sons drowns a dying old world, and heart of the earth trembles the birth of new and weird. HAVUKRUUNU is the spirit of freedom, harbinger of oblivion, and it tells you: fly, you fools!
HAVUKRUUNU's new album "Tavastland" tells the story of a small, strange people.
”Tavastland tells how in 1237 the Tavastians rose in a rebellion against the church of Christ and drove the popes naked into the frost to die. Tavastland reveals our fathers’ centuries old sins and lies of consolation. Tavastland speaks of him, who has become a prisoner of his home, alienated from the land of the forest and is now afraid of the dark with all lights on, surrounded by his smart devices. Tavastland tells about the freedom we lost. Tavastland haunts its listener to the grave, and I will personally open that grave one bleak night and steal the fading light of your sempiternal soul.”, says Stefa.

SCALPTURE - New Album "Landkrieg" via Testimony Records - Details and Video Clip revealed
 Testimony Records proudly announces the new full-length of SCALPTURE, entitled "Landkrieg", set for release on March 7th 2025 on CD, LP and digital formats.
Here comes the German death metal tank again, crushing and smashing, bulldozing all resistance into oblivion and breaking through the lines. SCALPTURE deliver their fourth album "Landkrieg", which means 'land warfare' in German, with deadly precision and an ambitious mission statement: to conquer the world.
This time, it is not just one of the usual war themes, but each song on "Landkrieg" revolves around the 30 Year War that devastated the German lands from 1618 until 1648. On "Landkrieg", SCALPTURE stay true to their deadly roots, but their sound has been refined by endless hours on the road, playing more shows, and many days and nights well spent in the rehearsing space and at Hellforge Studio. The new songs are brutal, hard-hitting, and 100 % death metal, but they also leave room for variety and cool twists. When SCALPTURE came into being in the German city of Bielefeld in 2009, founding guitarist Felix Marbach already had a clear vision: The musical direction was to be death metal without any compromise regarding its roots and values, but at the same time the band aimed to evolve into a singular musical entity with a unique style very much their own right from the start. It is hardly surprising that all SCALPTURE's album titles refer to the topic of 'war' that the band has decided to adopt as their prime lyrical theme. Staying away from glorifying stereotypes, their texts are built on detailed historical research and portray the horrors that the abyss of war has caused in some of the darkest hours of humankind. Although the Germans have chosen war as their main subject, SCALPTURE embrace modern values such as tolerance, peace, and reason.

Following the intuitive "Between Life & Dreams" (2016) and its dark, calculated, and frenzied successor "Heal The Unhealed" (2022), the radically artistic "On Shoulders Of Giants" reinforces how SEVENTH STATION continues striding towards an authentic strict, endeavoring on fulfilling themselves as genuine authors, truthful to their craft and distinguished by their composition technique with each member recognized internationally for their former work in the world of progressive and classical music. Here, the band has taken their unconventionality up a notch, revealing re-imagined works of the 20th century modern composers through a colorful gratitude of the band’s classical heritage.
Rejecting a contagious climate of separationism, "On Shoulders Of Giants" is led by the motivation to pioneer in crafting a free-thinking art-metal, defying a reality of sustainable war, immutable radicalism, attention-based economy, and conformist collectivism.  German Death Metal duo RATS OF GOMORRAH has unleashed another song from their upcoming debut full-length "Infectious Vermin", set for release on January 31st 2025 through Testimony Records on CD, LP, tape and in digital formats.

The band explains: "The story about the rat queen is riddled with chilling Lovecraftian horror. With its melodic undertones and haunting narrative, 'Rattenkönigin' is a powerful anthem that challenges societal norms while captivating listeners with its eerie allure. Join us as we explore this dark, yet crucial message through the lens of cosmic horror."
Guitarist and vocalist Daniel Stelling and Moritz Paulsen on drums had already been a part of the internationally active Northern German death metal trio DIVIDE since 2009, which had become a duo in 2016. In this formation the musicians that have claimed Bolt Thrower, Carcass and Vader as major sources of influence managed to establish an excellent name in the death metal underground. In fact their standing in this scene grew to such an extent that DIVIDE was able to tour not only throughout all of Europe, but also in Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, and even in India. In 2022, they even won the German competition of the Wacken Metal Battle and were awarded a slot at the largest and most famous metal festival of this planet.
Despite their legacy and all the hard work that it took to establish their name, the duo was not content to remain within the limitations of their stylistic mould. Although they stayed true to death metal, they already started to make their music more rough and dirty, expanded their horizon with elements from black, thrash and other influences from extreme music, and even added a healthy dose of weirdness. Out of respect for their previous works and acknowledging the changes, the two Germans decided to change the band name to RATS OF GOMORRAH.
And although RATS OF GOMORRAH are averse to simply regurgitating all the tired clichés of an average death metal album, they have not completely abandoned that ship. They just took some detours into heavy and speed metal territory, kept vocal pitching varied, and added some hot spices such as crust-infused riffs and catchy choruses

Completely out of the blue, former Pagan Metal masters KROMLEK are releasing a massive double album, consisting of the first part "III-III" with completely new tracks created and collected over 10 years and the second part "Upphaf", a retrospective with selected, newly reworked, recorded and produced tracks from the band's musical history. After the band came to a worthy conclusion in 2023 with two exclusive concerts, the only thing left to do was to say a final farewell in the form of a final album due to the unreleased material still available. This is not a revival, but a legacy.
