HIGH SPIRITS & ARGUS - Tour announcement
Chicago’s self-proclaimed “100% High-Energy Rock” band HIGH SPIRITS is pleased to announce the fourth (and final) leg of the MotivaTour, a cross-continental romp in support of its widely-acclaimed 2016 album Motivator. To further celebrate, longtime label partner High Roller Records will present a brand new HIGH SPIRITS EP entitled Escape! The EP features four new songs and will be released just as the tour is taking off in September.
Touring alongside HIGH SPIRITS will be Pittsburgh’s true metal merchants ARGUS, who will be making a much-requested return to Europe following a highly successful outing in 2016. This time, ARGUS will have a brand new LP in tow, entitled From Fields of Fire and scheduled to arrive via Cruz del Sur Music in August.
Taken together, HIGH SPIRITS and ARGUS is a unique and potent pairing of musical styles, both with a keen eye on the future, and sure to deliver maximum value for the great heavy metal fans of Europe.

GRAVDAL - New album 'Kadaverin' - Details and first track revealed
Norwegian Black Metallers GRAVDAL have signed to Soulseller Records!
The band’s new and third full-length album "Kadaverin" will be released on 11th August 2017 in different formats (CD, vinyl, digital).
"Kadaverin" was recorded and mixed in Mackwerk studio by Lord Bård and mastered by Herbrand Larsen at Conclave & Earshot studios. It features guest appearances from members of Satyricon, Taake, SAHG, The Ruins Of Beverast, Seven Impale and Orkan and lyrics written by V`gandr (Helheim, Taake).

OBSCURITY - ‘Streitmacht’ album details revealed
German horde OBSCURITY will unleash their new album "Streitmacht" on 14th July 2017 via Trollzorn.
"Streitmacht" (meaning army/armed forces) is the 8th full-length of the five warriors from the Bergisches Land (a region in North Rhine-Westphalia) and will be released on time to celebrate their 20th anniversary. The new opus features diverse influences of the Death, Black and Viking Metal genres which are merged into the band’s typical "Battle Metal".

CARONTE - New album announcement
After months of silence & unholy rituals under the moonlight, Italy’s Doom & Occult preachers CARONTE are happy to announce the release of their third full-length-album, entitled "Yoni". It will be released on 29th October 2017 via Ván Records on digipack CD and vinyl.
"Yoni" is the most magic filled work the band has ever written! “It's music is more direct and its lyrics are more hermetic”, quotes the band. “It's the closing of our first cycle of activity since we were born, precisely 7 years ago.”
There are 7 tracks on the album, just like the previous two, and, with this record, the first trilogy dedicated to Thelema and to traditional Shamanism will be complete.
“We truly hope that the energy we poured in our work wil reach all of you who have always supported us. We wrote and recorded the tracks as part of our rituals, which remain a vital part of our artistic activity.”

WALPYRGUS - New video clip available
US hard rock/heavy metal warriors WALPYRGUS have released a videoclip for the song “Dead Girls”. It is the second single of the forthcoming debut full-length “Walpyrgus Nights” which will released on 9th June 2017 via Cruz Del Sur Music.

The video is based on the original art created by Scott Waldrop (also Twisted Tower Dire) for the comic book that comes together with the vinyl edition of the album. The glossy-papered, 56-page comic book depicts the lyrics of the album and as said, it is intended as a bonus for the vinyl edition.

Coming from long running, respected bands, founding members Scott Waldrop (guitar/chief songwriter – Twisted Tower Dire), Jonny Aune (vocals – Twisted Tower Dire, Viper), Jim Hunter (bass – While Heaven Wept, Twisted Tower Dire, October 31), Charley Shackelford (guitar – Daylight Dies) and Peter Lemieux (drums - Viper) drew upon influences ranging from Iron Maiden, The Scorpions, Black Sabbath to early Slayer and even The Ramones - resulting in a harmonically rich, melodic, energetic take on classic Hard Rock/Heavy Metal.
“Walpyrgus Nights”, that features the artwork of Gustavo Sazes (Morbid Angel, Arch Enemy, Firewind), was recorded in a variety of locations over the course of two intense years under the guidance of mastermind Tom Phillips (While Heaven Wept), mixed by longtime collaborator Kevin “131” Gutierrez (Raven, Deceased, Believer) and mastered by Bill Wolf (Raven, While Heaven Wept).

SACRED LEATHER - Signing with Cruz Del Sur Music / Debut album announement
CRUZ DEL SUR MUSIC announces to have inked a recording deal with Indianapolis’ SACRED LEATHER for the release of their debut album “Ultimate Force”!
With influences being self-evident to any heavy metal purist, SACRED LEATHER’s music seems to emerge directly from the early 80s, mixing late elegant and nostalgic hard rock/ proto metal, with the most belligerent side of the traditional NWOBHM’s sound.
The recording of “Ultimate Force” will start in early September for an expected February 2018 release.
SACRED LEATHER was created out of necessity, to summon the spirit of the HEAVY METAL forefathers - into an age mired in apostasies. Make sure to keep an eye out for the legion of leather as they are slated to deliver their sonic and visual assault unto you in the coming months.

On this seventh full-length, the six-headed formation celebrates all their known characteristics and, above all, the virtues of its very own, atmospherically style. Singer/bassist Alan Averill comments: "Spines of Saturn is a strange trip……partly inspired by a DMT trip that took me through space to Saturn to gaze upon DNA strands hidden in the rings partly inspired by a trip to Chernobyl and the decaying and dead school rooms filled with the drawings, dials and test machines of the old Soviet space programme. The quest for knowledge of the cosmos crippled by a massive nuclear disaster that nearly wiped out much of Western Europe and the fall of communism. Somehow it all made sense to tie them together and here we are…..Spines came together the day before recording FOR DOOM THE BELL TOLLS…..and marries the spirit of Hawkwind with maybe what we could call some form of ‘space rock’?……and hey you can dance to it too……take the trip."
The video was made by Costin Chioreanu and contains footage that Nemtheanga shot at Chernobyl.

DESULTORY - New and final album "Through Aching Aeons" - Details revealed
The Stockholm Death Metal mammoths DESULTORY have returned once again for their fifth and swansong full-length album "Through Aching Aeons" - to be released on 23rd June 2017 via Pulverised Records.
DESULTORY spent the last year writing and recording "Through Aching Aeons" together with Necromorbus Studio's Tore Stjerna (Watain, Repugnant, Portrait, Tribulation, etc) and the result is a far more vicious and aggressive effort than any of their previous albums.
The cover artwork for "Through Aching Aeons" was designed by French graphic artist Pierre-Alain D at 3mmi Design (Kamelot, Necrodeath, etc).
