SACRED STEEL - New song available

DARKNESS - Video premiere

"Back To The Land Of The Dead" is a comeback for Ancient, 12 years after the previous release "Night Visit". The album was recorded in 7 different locations, in Norway, Denmark, Italy and Greece, mixed in Elfo Studios in Italy, and mastered by Mika Jussila at Finnvox Studios. The album was produced by Ancient. With Nick Barker behind the drumkit, the album is, as expected, the most aggressive and fastest album of Ancient, yet still with a good amount of clean guitars, and various dark atmospheres as the band is known for. The music was composed by Zel and Dhilorz. The lyrics on the album are all written by Zel, many of them speaking about the devil, the spirit of the devil and how it influences us in various devastating and destructive ways, as well as some fantasy lyrics, still somehow connected with the "old Nick subject". The album cover shows a hooded figure coming back to "the land of the dead" to wake up the "spiritually dead people there". The album is 66 minutes long and has 13 tracks, including a cover of Bathory " 13 Candles".

HOUSE BY THE CEMETRAY - Deal with Pulverised Records / Debut album in the works
One of the latest collaboration between Swedish riff-machine Rogga Johansson (Paganizer, Ribspreader, Bone Gnawer, Demiurge, etc) and legendary six-string hacksaw fiend Eric Cutler of the mighty Death Metal evergreens Autopsy, comes a new embodiment of horror and darkness under the moniker HOUSE BY THE CEMETARY!
HOUSE BY THE CEMETARY is a blatant adaptation from the 1981 cult supernatural horror film "The House By The Cemetery" directed by Italian Gore godfather Lucio Fulci and with that as the main influence and driving force, both Rogga and Eric started stewing up ideas for what eventually became an outlet for their love of horror films and of course Death Metal, with HOUSE BY THE CEMETARY. The perfectly-fitting HOUSE BY THE CEMETARY band logo was designed by Bob Toderico, who has done work for bands such as Asphyx, Sinister, Mefisto, etc.
Work on the group's debut album is now underway, with the mixing currently in progress. More details on the album will be announced at a later date.
"This record comes from our darkened souls of horror. May its blood drip from your turntable as it bludgeons your mind!", says Eric Cutler on the upcoming HOUSE BY THE CEMETARY debut album. Rogga Johansson adds: "Expect nothing but the dirtiest ugliest Death Metal we could spew forth."
ONHEIL - Digital releases + New video + Special live show
Dutch Blackened Heavy/Death Metal band ONHEIL proudly announces the digital release of their last two albums 'Storm Is Coming' and 'Razor'. Besides the CD format, these two albums are now also available through web stores and streaming services like Spotify, i-Tunes, Google Play and Amazon. Both albums are published by German record label Cyclone Empire.
The digital release is accompanied by a music video for the song “The Omega Legions” which contains mostly footage from one of their live shows, both filmed professionally as well as by fans in the audience.

'The Omega Legions' is not only a song about nihilism and revolution, it's also how ONHEIL has named their fans. Especially the ones supporting the band at their live shows, headbanging like crazy or getting into the mosh-pit. The song and video is ONHEIL's way to pay tribute to these metal maniacs.
ONHEIL will also play a special headline show on the 27th of August at the legendary underground venue Baroeg, The Netherlands, to celebrate the occasion.
ONHEIL's latest album 'Storm Is Coming', which features the song “The Omega Legions' was produced and mixed by Bart Hennephof (TEXTURES) and Yuma van Eekelen (Ex-PESTILENCE) at the Final Focus Studios, The Netherlands. The mastering was done by Tore Stjerna at the Necromorbus Studios, Sweden (WATAIN, DESTRÖYER 666). The album booklet holds 16 pages of high-quality artwork of which a large part is done by an upcoming artist of the GrimTwins Studios (DEICIDE).

AKATHARTA - Deal with Pulverised Records
It is an absolute pleasure to welcome the latest unspeakable malevolence AKATHARTA!
With this creature spawned by none other than the infamous Death Metal legend Kam Lee (ex-Mantas, ex-Massacre, Bone Gnawer, etc), AKATHARTA didn't become a reality until 2015 when Kam eventually found the perfect musicians whom not only understood the darkness and horrific aura of this particular genre but also could deliver with feeling and conviction; especially more so in this form of music than the rest.
AKATHARTA is Kam Lee's dark vision of Funeral Doom Black Death Metal. Conceptualized over a decade ago around the year 2006 and being a huge fan of the Finnish Doom bands Thergothon, Skepticism as well as Wormphlegm; Kam wanted to something in a similar vein, music that evoked pure dismal dread and overwhelming foreboding doom.
Almost a decade later and through several unreliable different line ups, Kam finally found the proper musicians to bring this band into reality. With both Aaron and Travis of the band Cropsy Maniac, Aaron was writing music with such doom-laden expressions of turmoil and dread and Travis bringing in the heavy bone pounding doom-ridden beats of trepidation, this was the perfect line-up to finally bring AKATHARTA to the world. With a concept and lyrical theme based on the paranormal, ghost hunting and parapsychology lyrics based heavily upon hauntings from both the ancient mythology and modern urban mythology. Kam wanted to introduce something new and different into the music by incorporating actual E.V.P. (Electronic Voice Phenomena) or spirit voices throughout several recordings. The entire idea behind AKATHARTA is for Kam to deliver the most doom-laden, heaviest form of Metal he has ever done with the most profoundly heavy vocals and tormented agonizing woefulness he can muster.

SARCOFAGO - Vinyl reissue of demo compilation
On October 7th, 2016 Greyhaze Records will release a vinyl LP reissue of “Die Hard” - the only official, comprehensive demo collection of Brazilian Black/Death Metal cult act SARCOFAGO.
Beautifully packaged as a double-LP with gatefold jacket, the album will be available on black and limited-edition yellow vinyl, including an over-sized booklet and poster, as well as liner notes by SARCOFAGO front man Wagner Antichrist. “Die Hard” includes material that had never before been made available, such as the band's very first demo recording, as well as material recorded for “Rotting” and “The Laws of Scourge”. Renowned artist Zbigniew Bielak (GHOST, WATAIN, etc.) created the artwork for a very limited slipcase version of the vinyl reissue.

SARCOFAGO's influence and legacy in the realm of Extreme Metal cannot be overstated. Classics like “INRI”, “Rotting”, and “The Laws of Scourge” have paved the way for a large number of bands spanning various genres such as Black and Death Metal. The band's demos have been shamelessly bootlegged for decades and demand for an official demo collection has been constant.
