Nine Years Of Blood
Facebook / Website

Release date: 27.04.2018
Distribution: Soulfood & AFM Records

These Irish prime fathers are known not only as absolutely undeterred and courageously pugnacious pioneers of the genre Celtic Folk Black Metal. But even after such a long time still wonderfully wild CRUACHAN are quite rightly estimated as real exceptional performers. Since 1992, the battlesome heathen horde around founding member, guitarist and screamer Keith Fay is at the start. So what has been going on for more than a quarter of a century, as angry as it is folkloric playful, is allowed to mature and become better as noble mead. You can convince yourself of this with the new and eighth album „Nine Years Of Blood”. Twelve new songs, varied hymns, all of which emanates unspoiled, pure, ancient warrior spirit. Thus, the robust formation now closes the fabulous 'Trilogy of the blood', which began with the 2011 full-length „Blood On The Black Robe”. „Nine Years Of Blood” is a thrilling concept album that sings about the great, historic war between Ireland and England that lasted from 1593 to 1603. The sworn brothers-in-arms of the Green Island have finally scarce lost this conflict, after the victory against the English was already so close. Heroes, villains, brave, cowards, triumphs, defeats - rousing epic framed is the whole by CRUACHAN in top form with thundering Heavy Metal noise, pervaded by stormy Black Metal attacks. Thrash-action is bound to give rise to frenetic breakthroughs, and superbly dosed Folk pads lift the sleek performance of this charismatic band to melodic and solemn, awe-inspiring heights!
