Started in 2004 from the ashes of an earlier band. At the time with the ambition to play raw and harsh black metal, the first demo "Nidsang" was recorded that year in studio Graveyard and was released on tape by Sadolust. Started in the following year to rehearse songs for the upcoming album which was supposed to be released on Sadolust, but during the recording process in the beginning of 2006, changes where made and NIDSANG ended up with Drakkar Productions. The album was released in the summer of 2007 by Drakkar.
After that, onwards to new heights, the songs for the EP ”Streams Of Darkness" was written which was recorded at Necromorbus Studio in 2008 and released in 2009 by Drakkar. In 2012, NIDSANG once again entered Necromorbus Studio again to record the album ”Into The Womb Of Dissolving Flames”. The name is taken from nidstang (nithing pole, which was a way to curse one's enemies in the old Germanic tradition.) With a mix of that and the music, we named it NIDSANG (sang as in Swedish sång and English song) to represent the audio curse.
